Fire Extinguishers

A fire is one of the more common emergencies you might run into and, when it comes to camping, fire safety is a huge priority. While we know you’ll try to be careful, accidents do happen, so it’s better to have fire extinguishers handy, just in case. In fact, we suggest having two or three scattered throughout your fifth wheel so, no matter where you are or where the fire breaks out, you can still catch it in time to reduce the damage.

Surge Protectors

One of the biggest stressors when it comes to your appliances is that they’re not always covered under your RV warranty and you might be on the hook for all fixes and replacements. Keep from losing your appliances to a faulty powerbox by installing a surge protector, which will act as a stopgap to protect some of the nicer features of your fifth wheel.

Emergency Radio

Emergency radios are a good idea for your home emergency kit, your car, and your fifth wheel. A power outage could happen no matter where you are and, if you’re like many fifth wheel owners in Texas, you can use your rig to evade these ever growing hurricanes. Staying connected to emergency broadcasts can help you better understand how to plan your next steps and give you some peace of mind. Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Tire problems can cause either a minor inconvenience or a serious accident, depending on what the issue is, but either way it’s a serious stress on your life. Better to avoid the situation as best you can. Consider stalling a tire pressure monitoring system which will send you regular updates about your tire pressure. This way, you can spot odd changes and take care of the situation before you get stranded. If you can afford the fancy system, consider keeping a record with a tire pressure gauge so you can still have a way to keep track of worrisome fluxuations.

Water Pressure Regulator

While many RV parks provide hookups that will suit your fifth wheel, it’s best not to gamble with it. Water pressure that’s too low can simply be annoying, but if it’s too high, it can overwhelm your system and bust your pipes. A water pressure regulator will adjust the intake so you’ll have consistent water pressure everywhere you hookup.
