The Good

1. Fuel Mileage

Smaller RVs are also lightweight, making them great for better fuel mileage. Your tow vehicle or motorhome won’t have to work as hard or burn as much fuel to get to your destination! You’ll be able to go further on a single tank, saving you money and time as you travel.

2. Easy to Drive

It’s also helpful to have a small RV because it’s much simpler to drive! You’ll still need to practice and adjust to turning, braking, and accelerating, but it’s easier to navigate than larger models.

Parking, driving, and getting to your campsite will all be a lot simpler in a small camper.

3. Lower Costs

Along with fuel efficiency, small RVs are generally more cost-effective. They require less maintenance and generally cost less to purchase. This aspect can be extremely important because it allows you to focus more on travel than the cost of your RV!

Although you can get crafty and make really good use of fewer storage options, smaller RVs just won’t have as many areas to stow your gear. If you often travel with a lot of belongings or several people who need to have their own items, a small RV may not work well for you.

2. Fewer Sleeping Accommodations

Another thing to consider is that there will be fewer sleeping accommodations available in a small RV. If you travel with several friends or family members, you may need a bigger model. Traveling in small groups, pairs, or alone would suit small models better.
