Many bunkhouse RVs are travel trailers, but there are some that come in other RV styles, too. The rest of the RV is generally similar to other types of RVs, with a separate master bedroom for adults.

Bunkhouse RVs dedicate an entire room to the bunk beds they contain, with either a four-bed (“quad bunk”) or two-bed (“double bunk”) configuration. The beds are generally best used by children and teens, since they’re relatively small in size, with 39” by 75” mattresses. So families with kids often benefit from having bunkhouse RVs since they have so much dedicated sleeping space for children and teenagers and their guests. Some of the bunks may even convert into sofas to create extra seating space during the day.
